Dubai Road Traffic Management Bureau (RTA) launched a new service, passengers can use the NFC mobile phone to buy and store tickets, the service is applied to the subway, bus and water bus in Dubai.
This smart Nol mobile ticketing services began next week, to provide customers with Etisalat and Du two mobile operators. A trial run was conducted last year.
The new service card based on Dubai's current Nol bus. The card is a stored value card at the customer service center, ticket office, ticket vending machines, sales agents and RTA recharge. Since today, customers want to use the service can be replaced at the Etisalat and Du fixed point NFC-SIM.
RTA CEO Abdulla Ali al Madani said: "we NFC mobile phone users with special SIM card, in order to use Nol service, this service can be used not only for the existing transport system, the future will also be applied to micro payment in the United Arab Emirates. Using the method and the use of Nol card is almost, do not do much to change."
"At present there are about six million Nol cards, we hope that there will be a certain number of users will use the new service, because the United Arab Emirates NFC mobile phone users is still a lot of.
